The coolant temperature sensor is located below the intake manifold on the driver side of the cylinder head. It is quite difficult to get out and may require special tools. According to epc, the current part number for the coolant The coolant temperature sensor is on the back of the engine below the left branch of the connector. There is an elbow attached to the engine that curves up. The temp sensor fits in the top of the elbow and is held in place with a C-clip. The electrical connector plugs in to the top of the sensor.
